Visit Columbia Falls’ largest park, River’s Edge Park, lies on the banks of the Flathead River, just off of 3rd Avenue East and 5th Street East. Follow the signs. River’s Edge is to the Family Fishing Pond, open to anglers of all ages. The park has walking paths to the Flathead River and 27 acres of beautiful, quiet grassy meadows. River’s Edge Park is also the home for the Columbia Falls Community Garden. There is over 900′ of river frontage to view and walk along.
Great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Montana Coffee Traders, The Huckleberry Patch, the Outlaw Diner or Josephine’s Bar & Kitchen.
Additionally, Market Nights that take place Monday and Thursday nights in Columbia Falls. There are two markets; the Community Market is located at O’Brien’s Coop and the Farmer’s Market is located in Marantette Park. Live music, vendors and local produce and family fun are the theme throughout.

Columbia Schools
Columbia Falls boasts a strong school system, including 1 high school, a high school annex, 1 junior high school and 3 elementary schools.
Kids in Columbia Falls schools compete well academically, on the playing field and in other academic-related activities – bringing home state championships from basketball to soccer to speech/debate.
Ruder School (Grades K – 5)
Ruder School provides educational programs for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Ruder School is one of the newest buildings in District Six. It was originally built in 1975 with a new addition recently completed.
Glacier Gateway School (Grades K – 5) This is one of two elementary schools in School District Six. Glacier Gateway School provides educational programs for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
Columbia Falls Junior High School (Grades 6-8) Providing educational excellence by providing a positive, safe environment with high academic expectations. Approximately 500 students.
Columbia Falls High School (Grades 9 – 12) Approximately 880 high school students gathered from an area that stretches from Essex to about 4 miles west of Columbia Falls and goes north to the Canadian border.
